The Etsy shop also sells letter pillows that look like scrabble pieces (i'm particularly fond of the LOVE letter pillows).  Scrabble + pretty pillow decoration for my room... ummm HELLO best of both worlds (i'm a bit of a scrabble fanatic).  I must get both for my bedroom!

Reason #286 why I love Japanese styling.  Oh those models and their stoic expressions.  I sure wouldn't look that blase if I was dolled up all cute like that!

wearing zara dress, bcbg cardigan, hue tights, juicy couture flats, a. tierney grosgrain watch, and vintage bracelet Pink and yellow  Yesterday I went to the camera store to see a used Canon 5d mkii I've had my eyes on.  It was absolutely perfect and there wasn't a single scratch or anything on it, and I totally want it, but I'm still vacillating on whether I want to dump all that money for it.  My friend told me to either buy a used 5d mkii or a new 5d mkiii, but not to bother buying a new 5d mkii since the mkiii just came out.  Ahh I can't decide!

And now for a funny story:  I always wonder if people see me standing by their front door and wonder, "What is this girl doing?"  This time, while sitting on a random stoop, doin my blog thang, I heard people fighting inside.  And then I heard a kid start crying.  Needless to say, I promptly removed myself from their stoop before it got ugly.  Moral of the story: don't fight in your house because random bloggers who are taking pictures by your front door can hear you.

What's on your wishlist?

What's on your wishlist? (sources: one, two, three, four, five, six)

I'm graduating high school in a little less than two months. High school has never been a major part of my life (not as far as grades or anything - i'm a straight a student - just socially i've never been one for the whole 'high school experience') and I guess I've just been wrapped up in every day life that I forgot that normally people give gifts to people who graduate high school (or any kind of school for that matter.  Heh.  Friends and family have started asking me what I want as a graduation gift and I'm completely drawing blanks!  I'm not the type of person who makes wishlists.  Is that weird?  I don't really want or need anything at the moment.  I guess I'm just a simple-minded person.  Actually, I take that back.  What I would realllyyyy like is a swanky Canon 5d mkiii or a nice lens or something (i've got my eyes on an 85mm f/1.4), but those are a  litttllleee bit too far out of price range.

Help me out here, friends!  What's on your wishlist?

Hawaii, by film (part two)
The last of the photos from our last few days in Hawaii.

A few of you have asked me what camera/film/editing program I used for these film photographs.  For all of my film photographs, I use a Nikon FM, CVS 400 speed film, and no editing program (that's the beauty of film: it's perfect just the way it is).

Hawaii, by film (part two) I must say I'm a bit sad for this to be the end of the photos... makes the vacation seem far too long ago and much more unreal... were we really just there a few weeks ago??  Anyway, if you've been to Hawaii more times than you can count or have never been there before, I hope you've enjoyed these posts regardless.

And finally, a happy Earth day to you!  Go do something nature-y, like plant a tree or watch a program on the nature channel or something... that's your challenge for the day!

XO

Hawaii, by film (part one)
Hawaii, by film (part one)
Here is the first batch of film pictures from Hawaii.  I took so many film pictures I have to break it up into parts one and two (maybe even three, we'll see)!  This batch is from the first half of our vacation, which corresponds with this post and this post.  I have to say, after seeing the results of these film photographs, I am so inspired to use my analog camera more often.  Film just has this crazy timeless quality that I cannot even begin to articulate into words.
