(sources: one, two, three, four, five, six) I'm graduating high school in a little less than two months. High school has never been a major part of my life (not as far as grades or anything - i'm a straight a student - just socially i've never been one for the whole 'high school experience') and I guess I've just been wrapped up in every day life that I forgot that normally people give gifts to people who graduate high school (or any kind of school for that matter. Heh. Friends and family have started asking me what I want as a graduation gift and I'm completely drawing blanks! I'm not the type of person who makes wishlists. Is that weird? I don't really want or need anything at the moment. I guess I'm just a simple-minded person. Actually, I take that back. What I would realllyyyy like is a swanky Canon 5d mkiii or a nice lens or something (i've got my eyes on an 85mm f/1.4), but those are a litttllleee bit too far out of price range.
Help me out here, friends! What's on your wishlist?

If I were you, I would just ask for money. Aaand, if you do decide to do that, then I recommend not spending anything until you get to college. Believe me, it will come in handy. I bought a nice camera when I graduated high school (it worked out though - 5 years later and I still use it almost everyday), but it would have been nice to have a little extra cash to get food and stuff with.
Or you could get a giant trampoline. You can never go wrong with a giant trampoline. :)
@aussaimstinee: Yes, I was thinking that, actually! And a giant trampoline sounds marvelous. I'm actually 99% positive that has been on my wishlist a few times over the years :)
I want to have a mark III too but the price is insane. So yeah i'm being real and that lens you want is actually on my wishlist! Can't wait!!!
The beauty of gifts is that they are surprises, something you know the other person would sincerely appreciate. For my graduation this spring, my friends/family are doing all sorts of things - handmade to just handing me money. For your close friends, write each other a letter to hand out on graduation. That is what I'm working on now. Trust me, words can sometimes be the best gift of all. Hope this helps
