I started decorating my bedroom walls a litttttllle bit over the weekend (i've had bare walls since i repainted my room in october! eek!). So far I've hung some book pages from vintage books (who suffered for the cause) over my bed a la this bedroom. I'm also contemplating somehow draping a garland around the pages so it doesn't look so plain with the pages hanging on the wall all by themselves. Other than that, I have a few pictures that need to be hung... just have to figure out where/how I want to place them. Shoot me with your best ideas!

I think I would add some black (ink, draw with thin brush) borders to some pages. Or maybe blue, since parts of your bed are blue. :)
Also I can't stop imagining some butterfly in the corner of some of those pages.
(this tissue technic you know. ;) http://www.tvorive-centrum.cz/obrazky/techniky/ubrouskova_technika_2.jpg )
Also, I love naturaly coloured soft toys from linen and silk hanging on the walls ( This one looks a bit creepy, but you can make much cute one ;) http://img0.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.271454624.jpg ).
Also, birds...lots of tiny birds (http://imgc.allpostersimages.com/images/P-473-488-90/54/5496/HK5WG00Z/posters/Parisian-Spring-Bird-in-Tree-Silhouette.jpg in brown or grey, maybe? :))
This wall has so much potencial in it! Let us know what you did with it after you finish your job on it, I can't wait! ^^

Lovely so far! You could use the vintage pages themselves as like mattes for the pictures...either neatly centering the pictures neatly so the text shows all around them, or placing them sort of haphazardly (I know haphazard/random appeals to me but I never quite seem to DO it) on the pages.
You could make a large "frame" out of ribbon to go all around the pages so they look like *one* thing vs many...I see a rich narrow velvet ribbon, maybe navy blue?
You have a great eye, I'm sure whatever you do will be lovely!

Decorating is so much fun. I'd put up a few hand drawn animal portraits evenly spaced amongst the book pages. My wall is starting to look like a zoo :)
i immediately thought you should wrap a strand of white twinkle lights throughout the pages for a simple, but chic and practical headboard light effect. i think the black and cream pages would look really pretty all lit up.
but i love the hand drawn animal portraits idea!
I think they look lovely like that! I might try covering all my walls in book pages but I just hate the idea of tearing books apart. Love your blog.
Put up faerie lights aka as small christmas lights in your room. It will make the pages glow and give your whole place a romantic glow
Hello ,
enjoying your blog, discovered thru pinterest!
this is a plain idea compared to all great ones above but a simple one. you could back each page with plain or printed paper leaving a thin or thick border so they popped a little more, either neutral or with a pop or colour whichever suits the building of this vignette. please post progress!
