Well it's Friday and I don't really have much to say. Kinda wiped out from the week, I guess. Here's some inspiration to carry you through the weekend! Hope you guys have something fun planned :)

So yesterday I got bangs. I hemmed and hawed all week about getting bangs (fringe, if you will), but in the end I decided to stop being chicken and just go for it (hair does grow back, after all). I'm really pleased with how they came out, even if it does feel like a bird is sitting on my forehead. When you think about it, bangs are a pretty ingenious invention. I'm surprised no one else really talks about how ingenious they actually are. Got a blemish on your forehead? Bam, bangs to the rescue! Eyebrows need waxing? Just brush your bangs so they cover your eyebrows! I'm still trying to get used to looking at myself in the mirror, but I think I will quite enjoy life with bangs :)

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know that I love me a little Ruche. I saw that they just released their newest lookbook 'Autumn Reflections' and I couldn't resist blogging it here. Who says that florals and lace are only for summer?

I have a new style love: her name is Shan Shan and she has a blog called Tiny Toads Stool. Hailing from Osaka, she mixes patterns with pops of color and her pictures make me oh-so-happy. I'm also quite envious of her collection of floral tights. Definitely need to get me a pair (or two) to layer underneath dresses for the winter!

You know those jobs where you think, "That would be such a cool job to have!"? Candy taster, roller coaster tester, you know, fun jobs...Well, I think we need to add balloon making to the list. I didn't even know balloon making could be a profession until I stumbled upon Geronimo Balloons. Jihan “Jihanimo” Zencirli, (dubbed "the balloon girl"), founded Geronimo after years of being a "balloonatic." These huge balloons are perfect for weddings, parties, and any other sort of special celebration.
Happy Monday folks!

If you read any fashion blogs, you've probably heard about Alexa Chung's second collection for Madewell (if not, you know about it now!) Last minute, I heard that Alexa Chung herself was going to be at the SF Madewell store Thursday night to celebrate the launch of her new collection. Alexa Chung! Herself! In San Francisco of all places! I deem that to be enough said, no?
I'm not a crazy Alexa Chung fan girl (although she is pretty cute), but I still was a little curious to see what the turnout would be like. So I abandoned my regular Thursday night rituals (consisting of being in my PJ's by 7pm and watching home improvement shows) and went with Kathleen to check it out. As you can imagine, the event drew quite a gaggle of well-dressed nerds and hipsters. Here's the night in pictures...
Totally worth going to, except now I want EVERYTHING from the collection! (it's even better looking in real life) I've especially got my eyes on this red dress...
PS. You can read more about Alexa Chung and her collection for Madewell on

Té Chichi's Autumn 2011 collection, A Rooftop Location, exemplifies everything I love about autumn. Crunchy apples, tea, soup, layers, colorful tights, sweaters, cozy nights... yeah that sounds about right :) What are your favorite things about autumn?

This craft room is kind of killing me with its beauty as of late (pretty fancy for a craft room if you ask me). I've been thinking of giving my bedroom a little facelift and this is just the inspiration I needed. I love the idea of hanging a birdcage in a room and the ballet slippers.

I want to be whisked away in the world of Candice Austen. She's a Parisian girl and the blogger behind Sense & Sensibility, found via English Muse (some of you have probably seen these photos of hers floating around the blogosphere). For lack of a better word her blog is just so... French. It's full of Audrey Hepburn quotes, photography, and things to do in Paris. Some of her blog posts are written with a French translation (which the francophile in me has been trying to decipher all morning). She has me dreaming in pastels.
