I think I've worn a head scarf (or turban if you will... not quite sure of the difference) approximately... once in my life. I honestly don't know why. They can make any updo (or any hairstyle, really) look so effortlessly chic (and there are so many variations) PLUS they keep the hair out of your face too. I want need to do this sometime soon to my hair. Do you wear head scarves in your hair?

A Child Woman is my latest blog love. Now I can't read all of the text (it's in chinese i believe), and I don't even know her name, but just from the pictures I can tell this girl is the epitome of cuteness.

Yesterday my family and I took a little trip to City Hall. My dad had never been (even though we've lived here for four years now) and either way, it's a neat place to poke around and take pictures. The architecture is crazy!! After City Hall, we went to Henry's Hunan for lunch, which is great if you're hungry and want to eat obscene amounts of yummy food for reasonable prices (which we were). All in all, 'twas a good day :)

I saw this cute little bonbonniere photoshoot on The Lane. It was styled by Jessica of Oscar & Ruby and photographed by Marissa of The Simple Things Studio. Wouldn't this little table be perfect for a wedding reception? I'll be honest with you and have you know I had to look up the meaning of bonbonniere, so for any of you inquisitive minds, it means a box or dish for candies ;)

Happy Friday.

Midnight dreamers
And a happy Friday it is indeed. This week was very good to me (busy, but good). It involved an hour long trip to a farm (to ask the owners if i can do a photoshoot on their property), four Costco trips (i really really do not like that place), getting my portfolio reviewed by the undergraduate director of photography at academy of art university (he liked my work, just wanted to see more conceptual stuff), and making blackberry frozen yogurt with a friend (forgot my camera, so i can't show you any pictures). So that's my week in a nutshell. Hope your week went just as well. Here's to the weekend! Rest up, my friends. See you all on Monday.

    Mason jar chandeliers
My friend is in the midst of redoing her bedroom. She showed me these amazing mason jar chandeliers that she wants to replicate in a little DIY project. You can make them as big as you want by adding more mason jars. I personally like the smaller ones; they're more quaint. Seriously, who comes up with these things?!

Beg Bicycles has about the cutest vintage-inspired bicycles ever. They have two styles for women's bicycles, "Bella" and "Betty," as well as men's bicycles "Billy" and "Bertie." When I was real young, my family and I took a trip to Munich and rode bikes all over the city; it was perfect. I always told myself if I lived in a European city, I would ride my bike around instead of owning a car.

A little shoot I did at this perfect dilapidated house I've had my eyes on for quite some time. Nadia from Nadinoo was kind enough to lend three outfits to be included in the shoot. They were the PERFECT mood for this. Anyway, the house was built in 1894 (!). I wonder what kind of history it has...

I recently got this dress from Ruche because I fell in love with the floral print. I wore it for the first time yesterday on a walk with my mom and Aubrey, and let me tell you, it fits like a dream. The fabric is so soft and comfy and pretty. It's been really hot around here and I am loving it; this little sundress is perfect for the heat and I know I'll be wearing it a lot.

I stumbled upon this series by Matt Caplin by happenstance on Facebook. The raw and intimate mood is so, so lovely. The colors! The clothes! Just general, overall amazingness, no?

PS. It must be something with French titles lately... totally inadvertently named this post a French title without thinking. My subconscious telling me to go to Paris perhaps? ;)
