Call me nosey or call me curious, but one of my favorite things to do is look at behind the scenes pictures. I've always loved seeing the hard work that goes into producing images/movies/etc. It's always much more interesting than the final product; to me, at least. And there is SO MUCH work that goes into producing photoshoots; so many emails, phone calls, brainstorming, late nights, meetings, fittings, etc. Sometimes it takes months for me to organize my photoshoots and once everything comes together, it is the most beautiful and rewarding feeling. Here are a bunch of behind the scenes images I've collected since my first formal photoshoot. And some of these behind the scenes pictures are from top secret photoshoots that have yet to be released :) So consider this a bit of a sneak peak, as well as a little look behind the scenes.
I've gotten into the habit of daily perusing Fashion Gone Rogue. I honestly don't know why I never did before... just one of those things where you start doing something and wonder 'how did I ever live without this?!' Anyway I love this editorial, found, of course, via Fashion Gone Rogue. The lighting and texture is simply magnificent. photography by tony knott styled by martha ward makeup by violet buchanan model: brynja jónbjarnardóttir
Courtney Brooke was the first photographer I ever blogged about (my very first blog post, actually!). I just came across her collaboration with Emily of Rag Doll It Girl; quite the beautiful images, aren't they? The mood is so intimate, as if wavering between the stages of lucidity and slumber...

I found this little article on Erin Fetherston's NYC apartment via Late Afternoon and deemed it swoon-worthy enough to share here as well. I'm not much of a modern-style girl, BUT I love the mix of vintage and modern aesthetics, as well as the clean lines. Not to mention Erin Fetherston is pretty much the cutest thing ever ;)
(twitch vintage) (annika m.) (twitch vintage) (ruche) No matter how much I love color, I will forever be a classic girl. And what better for a classic look than the quintessential black and white? I am dying DYING over this dress from Ruche (sold out, to my dismay!).
Today was one of those days: my computer got a virus, two of my camera lenses randomly stopped working (and they're only two weeks old!!), my camera randomly stopped working, and I think I may have a teeny touch of the flu. Phew! I'm just going to relax tonight (nothing a little ice cream can't fix) and tomorrow will be better, I hope.

I've always wanted to live in a house with a little cottage in my backyard. One of my childhood friends had a 'playhouse' (which was actually a fancy word for a fancy shed), and I remember asking my mom 'why don't we have a playhouse like that?!'. We don't have a yard right now, but perhaps sometime I will get my dream cottage. Here are some swoon-worthy cottages around the world. I am drooling! Founded in November 2008. An inspiration blog that encompasses all aspects of art. Created to inspire others and for people who like pretty things.
Behind the blog
Hello! My name is Micaela. Located in San Francisco, I am an 18 year old with a love for photography, fashion, and all things vintage.
My goal is to inspire artists worldwide to express themselves and not be afraid to take on challenges that confront them. Creativity is contagious. I endeavor to find beauty in my community and exhibit it to others. In this sense, I can inspire others to create for themselves while at the same time being motivated to create as well.
