Sunny days are here again (and hopefully to stay)

Thursday, March 31, 2011
The sun has finally graced us with warm weather here in SF. It's been SO GORGEOUS outside. That means it's time for some major wardrobe revamping. I'm doing a little spring cleaning today and clearing my closet of winter things. Next week, my mom and I are planning on scouring San Francisco to find every clothing sale known to mankind. I hope to find more dresses (even though i may or may not have too many already). I used to be a fan of cold weather, but now I'm just a warm weather mouse. Here's some spring inspiration from lookbook.nu (my spring inspiration happens to come in the form of many floral dresses).

I found Angela Lewis' work through Grasshopper, a photographer collective based in Canada. Immediately, her work for Dagg & Stacey's Spring Summer 2011 collection caught my eye. Ahhh spring here we come!

Rain of a thousand years

Last Friday, I made a short film with my friend Jessica. It's my first film, so be nice! I know I still have a lot to learn and there's already things I would do differently if I could redo it, but here it is nonetheless. I hope it inspires you in one way or another.

Twigs and Honey New 2011

The new 2011 collection (and lookbook) from Twigs and Honey by Myra Callan is all sorts of gorgeous. I love the damask background and the delicate face of the model (those eyes!). So elegant.

So I have pretty much resigned myself to blogging Ruche's lookbooks whenever they come out. Too good, I tell you, too good.

Pat Ramos is seriously the queen of diptychs. I love her use of colors, textures, and pairing fashion images with fine art images.

Last Friday, I went to my friend Lisa Congdon's book signing at The Curiosity Shoppe in SF. The Collection a Day book is just as lovely in person as online and I am really really happy to have it sitting on my bookshelf now.

It's Symmetrical

Wednesday, March 23, 2011
I have a new blog love. It's called It's Symmetrical and it's penned by Seattle-based Chloe Scheffe. Chloe is a graphic designer/fashion photographer and sure knows how to play up minimalism at its finest. Her blog is a perfect conglomeration of curated fashion and original outfit posts. I can definitely see Chloe's personal style transcend into her photography and graphic design work. I am also insanely jealous of her long locks.

    SF with the pops
With my mom off jet setting to Florida for one week (visiting her mom), my dad and I spent a rainy afternoon together this past weekend. We walked around Noe Valley and one of my absolute favorite streets, Liberty Street. If I could live on any street in San Francisco, it would probably be this one. The houses are so sweet and cheery.

We ended the day with eating Peruvian food at this awesome restaurant, Limón. Unfortunately, they didn't have too many vegetarian options (to my dismay only two), but that was okay because their food was crazy good and I could have eaten five orders of the same thing.
