HIGH Spring Summer 2011

Italian label HIGH's Spring Summer 2011 lookbook makes me want to live in the English countryside and drink tea and eat scones in a garden all day. Yum.

Rock Paper Vintage shoot!

I realized I never formally blogged the photos I took for Rock Paper Vintage when I was in NYC. So here they are! Model is Ivy at Major Model Management.


It was so cold that day (keep in mind that it is winter in new york. and we shot in the evening. and ivy's wearing something you would wear on a very warm summer day). Passersby kept commenting on what a cold day it was for a shoot. Ivy didn't even complain once! What a trooper!




You can see a few more photos from this shoot on my website under 'projects.' I have a couple more shoots that are going to be in magazines next month, so I'm just waiting (eagerly) for the magazines to come out so that I can release the final images. Stay tuned, people, stay tuned!

Girls with freckles

When I was little, I always wanted to have freckles. Now, I think I'd look kind of odd with freckles, but I still love them on other people! I will never cease to stop loving freckles.

Just finished reading The History of Love a few days ago. Have you read it? Some parts were kind of eh, but some passages that were pure magic, and overall it is quite a beautiful story.

Farmer's market

Every Sunday, there's a farmer's market over in my neck of the woods. They always have the best fresh vegetables and fruits... well, of course because they're straight from the farms. It's even better in the summer when it's hot outside.

Sweet darling

I do have to say, Ruche always has the best lookbooks. Whether it be winter, summer, and anywhere in between, the styling + photography is always swoon-worthy. And of course, their latest Spring 2011 lookbook is no exception.




Okay, okay, so bunting has pretty much been overdone to the max, and yadda yadda yadda but I still love it!

Trail going

Not too far away from where we live, there's a great little (well not little, it's actually pretty big) walking trail where the lighting is always nice and the sun stays out longer than the surrounding areas. Aubrey loves going there and can tell if we make a certain turn down a certain road, then we're going there, which ensues a lot whimpering and barking most of the car ride until we get to the trail.
