You gotta love pretty nails. Who doesn't? And there sure are some really pretty nails out there. I have a friend who does crazy freehand (freehand!) designs on her nails. For me, I think I'll stick to nail strips (i have yet to try the sally hansen ones). And maybe those newspaper nails. Has anyone tried those? There are awesome tutorials on how do them here and here. It seems fairly easy, so who knows, maybe that'll be my project of the week.

PS. I'm completely baffled by the complexity of the lacey nails in the last two images... how in the world did she do that??

PS. Today is the last day to enter the Ruche giveaway, so make sure you get your entries in!

I tried the newspaper nails. It was pretty simple and came out beautifully! Lace seems much more difficult. Not sure if I'm willing to try that free hand.

beautiful nails! :) I'd like to learn these designs, but I am probably not patient enough...

I think the lacy nails might have been a stencil? Paint your nails white, and then let them dry completely, tape a stencil over each nail, paint, let dry, and then you've got the pattern?

The lacey nails are soooo pretty. I'm usually not patient enough to do nail art and just put on a random color. The only "nail art" I've done is use crackling top coat or a clear polish with colored flakes in it. :)

I used to never care about nail art since my nails were too short to do anything with them, but since I've quit biting them, I've become more and more obsessed. Those newspaper nails are incredible, thanks for sharing!

The last design is absolutely stunning. I was like I have to do that the moment I saw it but then I had another look and thought I would probably end up with indifferent white spots on my nails :D It's just amazing! I want someone to paint my nails like that and I would wear them forever :D

Just looking at those nails makes me want to color my own. Those are so pretty.

I love the nail designs, I just hate when I can do a cool design on one hand, I cant quite get perfect again, on the second hand. haha
