On Saturday, I went to Chloe Aftel's Impossible Project Polaroid workshop at PhotoboothSF that just opened up in the city. It was my first time EVER using a Polaroid camera. There's something so special about the quality of the image that cannot be achieved by any other camera. I think I may be addicted. Except there's the small fact that I don't own a Polaroid camera. That may be a problem ;)
PhotoboothSF had pretty much every type of film camera and equipment possible... toy cameras, Polaroid cameras, random camera books... I found it somewhat ironic (and hopefully not in poor taste) that I was snapping behind-the-scenes shots with my digital camera at a venue dedicated to keeping analog photography alive (the things you do for a blog, i tell ya). Oh well. Anyway, Chloe is a most wonderful person to be around. She's already talking about organizing another Polaroid workshop. Can't wait!
The loot:
My stack:
jacket: gap, shirt: h&m, shorts: ann taylor, belt: thrifted, shoes: steve madden, necklace: ann taylor, purse: dooney & bourke
PS. Polaroids from the workshop are up on my website under 'Personal.'

Those look amazing!
First of all, let me say that I am in love with your outfit. You dress so stylishly and effortlessly! I have shoes that look just like yours! Except I got mine at Nordstrom, so I'm pretty sure you got a better deal than I did. ;)
Secondly, I am so insanely jealous that you got to go to such an incredible workshop! I adore Polaroids with all of my heart. Then again, who doesn't? I actually found a Polaroid at my local thrift store (without the film, of course), but they turn up pretty frequently, and for less than $2! If I see one, I'll get it and send it to you so that you can start a Polaroid collection. :)
Take care!

I want to try polaroid cameras too but I thought the film was too expensive and too hard to get?

@Sweet Harvest Moon and @Joy: Yes, the film is expensive! The film was from The Impossible Project and is $25 per each pack (with 8 exposures in each pack). Sadly, too expensive to become an addiction!
Such great pictures, you look so adorable! xo
wow! i want to have my own polaroid too.
great photos!
Isn't that Brittany from ANTM?! I loved her! And I absolutely love polaroid cameras! I actually have one that I bought at a garage sale for $4 but the film is too expensive so I haven't actually used it. :(
I love your shoes! :)

awww my shirt for h&m! so cute on you! :) I loved the few shots you posted from the polaroids. You should definitely invest in one for yourself! The thrift shops around here carry them quite often, if you want me to keep an eye out for a certain model for you, I will!
Wow, looks like a great place to visit. The photography nut in my house has a few Polaroids, but we don't pull them out too often due to the film expense. I kind of want to try them again now, though!
