When I received this dress from my sponsor, Ruche, the first thing I thought of was nautical. So I decided to go gung-ho with the nautical mood, and my friend Emma took pictures of me by the dock.

Alone, this dress is just a litttllleee bit too short on me, so I layered a petticoat underneath. The petticoat fell off in the middle of the shoot, so I'm thinking I'll have to sew it in or safety pin it or something... I recently got these bike shorts to wear underneath it as well. I was also thinking it would be cute to wear this dress as a jumper when the weather gets cooler... endless possibilities, I tell you, endless possibilities ;)

Anywho, it was the perfect warm, summer evening. No breeze; just the calm, warm air. The best kind of evenings, if you ask me.

I love these pictures! You look so cute, and I've been lusting after a polka-dotted dress/top this summer

Such a lovely dress! I want to thank you for the posts you've done on Ruche over time because it is thanks to your blog that I found the delightful store! Now having received a pile of their goodies from the current season I am one happy camper, and it's all thanks to your blog :)

Such a lovely dress - the petticoat is a nice touch! The setting looks quite idyllic as well.

I think it's cute without the petticoat, but it's cute without it as well. Maybe try it with cropped leggings? :)

And you're very pretty, btw.
