special thanks to justina barnard for the use of her apartment

The first time I saw Breakfast at Tiffany's, I was about 12. I've probably seen the film a dozen times since. I love the quirky, absent-minded character of Holly Golightly. I love all the clichés about the movie: New York elegance, romance... but what I love even more are the little, nondescript, in between scenes when Holly is alone in her apartment. From there, it didn't take long for me to develop the concept of this shoot. I wanted to portray a modern Holly; what you would see if you peeked in her apartment window today. Such a fun shoot with a concept very dear to my heart. These photos and more to be up on my website soon...

Brilliant. I especially love the shot where, in the mirror, you can see words from the film.

@tinekatrine: The cat was not photoshopped in and was intended to not look real :)

I hate to admit that I still haven't watched Breakfast at Tiffany's but I decided even before reading this post that tonight's the night I'll finally watch it. I've never actually been this excited about watching a movie (:

hmm.. I thought the cat is quite distraction actually.. probably it can be a really fake one? since Cat is really quite an important character in the movie, so i guess i know why it has to be there...

just my two cents' worth!
