Firstly, wouldn't any of these homes make the perfect summer hideaway?! They have houses like these allll over the East Coast (where i'm originally from). Too bad I didn't have the appreciation for those houses then like I do now. Oh welp. That's the way it always seems to go... you don't know what you have until you don't have it, right?
Anywho, a few weeks ago, I went for a walk with a friend and spotted the cheeriest Southern looking cottage house with a porch and rocking chairs in the front (kinndaa like the fourth picture). And of course I didn't have my camera with me to take a picture; major womp. I'll probably end up going back looking super sketchy with my camera while taking a picture of a stranger's house haha. Anything for the sake of the photo!

Oh, these houses are lovely ... somewhere to drink iced tea & have BBQs. We don't have ANYTHING like this in Australia :(

Gorgeous elegant country homes! I love this~
So pretty houses! I love that last one. Those roof windows are just so cute!
This is the kind of house you sleep well in. So lovely.
Beautiful houses, and beautiful photographs. Sort of remind me of where I used to live in England, on the coast.
Haha! I know what you mean about feeling sketching when taking pics of peoples house :) there's this neighborhood in my town that has the most magnificent homes! I loving snapping pics of them + I don't care you sees lol
Yes! I wanna live in one of these houses!

oh what lovely homes, I adore older homes, especially little cottage style homes like this :) (though my real penchant is for Victorian homes
)
What lovely houses!
Oh these houses are adorable. You gotta take a photo of that cottage house you ran into. haha, oh man I can already imagine the look of the owner's face when you start snapping photos of his or her abode. Now I have the image of some little old lady trying to chase you down the street...ok, alright, enough imagination.

Where are you from on the East Coast? I too am an East Coast transplant to the SF Bay area and miss the East Coast houses as well. :o)
That last house is so gorgeous and idyllic! Would love to live there.

@TheDrifterandtheGypsy I came out here from Wash. DC but lived up and down the east coast all my life until I came out here almost 9 years ago! Although I have been out here quite some time I still consider myself and East Coast girl! :o)
This is the exact style of house I want when I'm older complete with a neatly overgrown garden if you get what I mean (:
Lovely houses! They all look like they are straight out of a picture book. Adorable.
