A thrift day
This weekend was very good to me. I reconnected with a dear old teacher friend from Connecticut back when my family and I lived there a few years ago, before coming here to San Francisco. And it made me kind of homesick to be honest. I mean, I love it here. But I want to go back to visit so badly.

Anyway, Saturday was a thrift day for my mom and me. We went to College Avenue in Rockridge, a little neighborhood east of San Francisco. I love this neighborhood to death.

At Crossroads Trading Co. This store is all sorts of wonderful.

You just make anything look good. My thrifting trips never look as good as this.

I know how that is, having lived in several different places. You love all of them for different reasons and I always long for somewhere else, no matter how much I love where I am.

@Galina @ HalinaV.com: I love Barney's! We didn't have lunch there that day, but we frequent the place quite often :)

Ahhh, you made me homesick for the Bay Area (my home for the past 5 years until I moved out to Boston in December). It's so much prettier out there, and the thrifting is way better.

@Rachel: Ha, we're both homesick for opposite coasts.

I know, we can just switch, okay? :-)

I guess when you grow up on one coast you'll always have a soft spot for it.
