I painted a plate.
I painted a plate.
On Friday nights at Color Me Mine, they have something called Pajama Night, where if you show up in your PJs, then the studio fee is free. Have you ever done that? It's so much fun! I usually go with a cup of tea in tow and my comfiest PJs for maximum coziness. This past Friday, I went with my mom and painted a plate for my friend Carly.

Both my mom and I have been on this animal kick... last time we painted a mug with cows on it, this time it was sheep.
I painted a plate.
Fin!

I can't wait to go back next week, after they've fired the plate, to pick it up :)

Cool, showing up in your PJs and then be creative sounds a lot like fun! But I think I would feel a bit uncomfortable in my PJs with strangers around, haha.
The plate is gorgeous!

ps: you are very inspiring :)

micaela darling!

this is too cute for words! i absolutely love Color Me Mine, but i never knew that they had that special! how fun! a couple years ago, my parents and i each painted a mask for my birthday, and it's now hanging quite prettily up on our wall. :)

oh! i am terribly sorry for the belated wishes, but i wanted to congratulate you on your extremely successful photography website!!!! i couldn't possibly be any more happy or excited for you, dear. :)

This is adorable! I love places that have fun specials like the pajama thing. There used to be this chain of nail salons in New York, where if you went with at least one other girl on thursday nights, you got a free martini and 10% off! My friends and I would always go. I'll have to see if there are any color me mines in New York... that'd be a fun new thing to go and do.

@morenica: No, it was actually about 30 minutes east of San Francisco. I'm sure there are a lot of other pottery painting places in SF.

That is brilliant for me as I don't really need an incentive to go out in my pyjama's.
