I've been scheming up a new craft project to do, when I found this snow globe DIY on Martha Stewart, found via the Free People blog. And they seem pretty easy to make!

"Fill the jar almost to the top with distilled water; add a pinch of glitter and a dash of glycerin (available at drugstores) to keep the glitter from falling too quickly. Don't add too much, or the glitter will stick to the bottom of the jar when it's flipped. Screw on the lid tightly, being careful not to dislodge the figurine. Turn the jar over and back again -- and let it snow!"

This is such a cute idea! I collect snow globes, and sometimes it's hard to find a nice one throughout my travels, so if I can find a cute little trinket, I can make my own to commemorate my adventures! Thanks for sharing!
The kids just made these at school, same directions. If you put a thin bead of hot glue inside the rim of the lid before you screw it on you will avoid any future leaks!
