Silent longing
During my recent visit to New York, I took these photos of my friend, Rachael. My family and I used to live on the East Coast up until three years ago, when we moved to San Francisco and it was nice seeing her again after all these years. Rachael's an aspiring model and is trying to get signed with an agency... She's beautiful and I have no doubt that she will go far.

It rained during the entire photoshoot, and even harder afterward, but I like it because it makes you feel alive. The beach we shot at was completely desolate, so we wandered around for a bit until the dampness got too much for our skin.

What a trooper. I'm sure she'll be signed soon.

Wow, its sweet to hear friendship last even through time. Also I love the result and she is stunning, there's this little essence of innocence and pure natural beauty!

These are such beautiful photographs. The longing really shows on her face, and perfectly matched by the weather. Wonderful work. x

Micaela,

My name is Dwayne Tucker, I'm a follower on Twitter :)
Beautiful blog post you have here.

Rachael is in the right place to get in the game. It's hard but with the right networking, like anything else, it becomes easier. What she can start doing, if she haven't already is build a small portfolio for herself and present it to the agencies. Look at what the models who are successful in the agencies are doing ands he can get a start from there ya know. Tell her good luck from me! She's making the right moves and the starting one is trying!

Now about your photographs. To start, I love what you're doing :) That's how I started out by taking photographs of friends. If you want I'll give you a few tips on the photographs. Email me and asking me for the tips and I'll go in to depth with you about them. Just minor things that you should look for that will make your photographs stand out a lot more! Don't get me wrong I enjoy them the way the are, not trying to be disrespectful or anything :)

Keep in touch!
