Yesterday I woke up at 6:00 am to take pictures with my friend Erin - part two of a sunset phtooshoot we did last week for Unicorn/Dream Magazine (which will be out later this month). It was 30 degrees outside (about 1 degree celsius) and we were both freezing. Erin's really sweet for my putting up with my crazy antics. I've never done a sunrise shoot before and I must say, I love the morning light. It's softer and less intense and it's got a cooler more blue-ish tone than the golden light at sunset and I am in love.

Micaela, SUCH lovely photographs! The morning light *is* delightful, but boy is it hard to get models to show up in time for it! You're lucky to have such a good friend :-)

Have I not mentioned how amazing your blog is, and how wonderful a talent you are? It's all true.
These are such beautiful photos! I am yet to experiment with the sunrise sun, and tones. I've always been caught with the afternoon heat, and the sunset hues. Perhaps I'll try that the next time I head out for a photoshoot.

I agree with you, sunrises are better than sunsets for the light is less intense and more poetic. Your new photos are delightful!

@Summer: Thank you! You mean the lighting? In order to achieve that lighting you should shoot when the sun is low (sunrise & sunset). That's how you get those golden sunrays and soft lighting :)
