I love the look of flowers in a jar. No, actually I love the look of anything in a jar (note: see this post). Cause everything looks pretty in a jar (especially mason jars - man, i love those). And mix-matched jars are even better. I wish I had a windowsill like this to take pictures of my little treasures. Old fashioned windowsills really are the best.

I love mason jars too. They work for so many different things and occasions. To hold candles, flowers, dried goods, EVERYTHING!

So lovely, my dear!

i have a growing collection of peculiar jars, most of which i fill with glitter, or beads, or buttons.
i usually get them from charity shops but some are just old family items.
jars are so pretty though. flowers would be lovely.

we could go anywhere..

you keep reminding me to find my box of old mason jars! I'm afraid it might have ended up in storage and will be ages before I can dig it out.

in one of my past houses (an 1877 victorian farmhouse) the previous owners had left boxes and boxes and BOXES of really old mason jars. over the years I've given most of them away as vases with bouquets of flowers in them...but I made sure to save a dozen or so for myself....I sure hope I find them eventually!

i love her photographs =]
also, windowsills really are the bomb. i have one in my room that's right above a huuuge window seat so that i can take little naps or read and have little potted flowers and random knick knacks next to me. 'tis a little slice of heaven.

Gorgeous! I just bought a little old tonic bottle from an antique store . . . if there are any flowers left outside I'm totally going to steal one to display like that. :)

HI!

Darien is really beautiful place i think!

Well, ct is really "easygoing" and peaceful place to live in. If you have children, this place would be perfect! But for me, sometimes a bit too quiet. You know. But still, its nice to be so close to NY though- But next year, hopefully live there :)

I couldn't agree more!
I was so drawn to the images in this post! I love jars. One day when I have my own place to decorate I want Mason Jars and old medicine bottles filled with flowers and pebbles and spices.

I just bought some Mason jars a few days ago to do some DIY projects. Can't wait!

Thanks for sharing!

These photographs are really adorable.
They remind me of a photo I took while working on a photo shoot for the latest issue of Spoonful: http://fantastiquememoiresfromtheouterspace.blogspot.com/2010/03/at-times-life-does-not-require-much-to.html

Your blog is lovely by the way ;)
