I know this is not a new trend or anything, but recently, I have found myself looking more and more at tights with shorts. I'm not so sure I can pull the look off (the few times i've worn the combination, it feels uncomfortable to me) or maybe I'm just not used to wearing tights with shorts.
Anyway, I've gathered up a collection of lovely ladies who pull the look off so well.

I agree i like this look and it is difficult to pull off unless the tights are very sheer. In the pictures you've chosen they work really well. I think you should go for it! :)

I agree with you. I love the way the combination looks, but just can't wear tights with jeans. It feels incredibly uncomfortable.

I am also not to sure if I can pull off the look but I definitely like the style.
it does feel funny to me and i couldn't get over when this first started about 10 years ago my friends were like " that's stupid, it's like mixing a winter clothing and summer" lol i guess it IS kinda funny logically but nontheless i still LOVE the look. thanks for the reminder i will definitely try again this week :]

CUTE! I fell for this combination a year ago, thanks to my $3 purple corduroy shorts find :D Hmm I'm surprised so many find it uncomfortable- I think it's one of the most comfortable things to wear, stockings and shorts.
I love this look but am not quite brave enough to pull it off.
i love the look but i'm not daring enough to attempt it. hmm, maybe this is the season to break out of my fear because i adore the swiss polk a dot tights. by the way, i have a wonderful giveaway coming up in october! hope you can check it out (:

tights and shorts--I'm waiting for a bit cooler temps and this is definitely a go-to look.
These photos are great, and yes they pull it off well, but it still makes me feel uncomfortable too!
If I were to ever wear shorts, I'd most definitely pair them with tights! But, I do not, my legs really don't like it. BUT I have recently become borderline addicted to tights! I never had any until this year, and now suddenly I have around 12 pairs. I love to wear them with skirts, as that's what I wear every day :)
