Stop motion lovin'

Tuesday, July 20, 2010
I'm always in awe at stop motions-so much time and energy put into producing a few minutes of a movie. I've always wanted to make one, but I just don't think I have the patience!

This one from Igor + André is one of my favorites:

Apparently he was trying to match his drawings with the music to create a nice flow, which meant he had to draw a line and then stop to take a picture for the entire video-WOW! I wonder how many photos he took... any guesses?

this is one of my favourite Yann Tiersen songs, and it fits so beautifully with the video !

I feel the same way! I have always loved the idea of making a stop motion film using photography but it seems entirely too grueling to go through with! Maybe someday, when I have learned to have proper patience..I will give it a try..

The timing is great! It goes along with the music so well.

Have you ever watched the music video for "Us" by Regina Spektor? Some great stop motion in there.

I've always wanted to make a stop motion film! Seems like so much effort though, so I just watch them for now, haha.
