Of time and nature

There's something I love about abandoned houses. They have a certain beauty, sitting in their decay, something so alluring, haunting almost. Something that just begs to be photographed. I try to imagine what type of people used to live there and make up stories of their lives.

I saw an old barn while walking my dog on a trail last week and I am dying to go back and photograph it. Possible photo shoot location? Hmm...

On a side note, I found a bunch of dried up roses next to the sidewalk down the street from my house. I might collect them, then do a photo shoot with them. Is that too weird? They are just too good to pass up!

Oooo your kind of morbid, and I like it! hahaha. abandon houses are fascinating, but really creepy, I believe too much in ghosts and the netherworld to venture in one, alone or with friends. good luck to you though!

old abandoned houses are fascinating. If I had the guts to go inside them (haha), I'd take loads of pictures.

I'm always captivated by abandoned houses. I always have been---since I was a little girl. But whenever I look at one, I also see what it -could be- if I had the money and time to fix it up. :)

If you love abandoned houses, you must ADORE the house in Casper's movie (the old one), so perfect!!

Have a nice day Micaela!

Dreamy houses like these beg to be photographed. Taking pictures of the dried roses sounds romantic to me. Hope you show how they come out.

Hello! I came across your blog a couple of days ago, and I just can't stop gazing at the photos you post. I am not a photographer, neither I have a blog, I just become inspired by pictures and draw..
I want to thank you, I hadn't been such inspired for months! And it's not just the photos, but your quotes too! I find them stunning, more beautiful than the ones you find.
Keep writing, never let it go.
