After reading Half Broke Horses (which is a memoir written by jeannette walls about her grandmother's life growing up on a ranch) I've been quite intrigued by the prairie/farm lifestyle. I really love this look. In fact, I've actually had these pictures saved on my computer for quite some time without knowing the sources. And yesterday, I figured out where the pictures were from which made me very very happy. (sidenote: don't cha love that when you look forever to find the source of a pretty picture/drawing/whatnot and then you finally find it? i tell ya it's the greatest feeling).
Doesn't it look so Free People-y? Or maybe it's just me. At first, I thought this was from a Free People catalog, but no, it's by a photographer named Erica who photographed her two best friends, Alison and Rebekkah. Aren't they the cutest?

ah we read this for The Slow Readers Book Club last month. We are just finishing up on June 1 with Alice I Have Been (and have the author do a Q&A). Join us for next month if you'd like :) I loved that book, too

I have read The Glass Castle, and I loved it! Maybe I should try this one?
@Marthe: yes, I recommend it! i don't think it was as good as the glass castle-that's one of my favorite books of all time, but it was really interesting. i love memoirs and taking a peak into other peoples' lives!
