Frolicking in Flowers
More photos by me, from a photo shoot on Monday.

There were so many bees because of the flowers one of the little girls pointed to a bee and said, "Uh, there's a stingy over there." It took awhile to convince them that as long as they didn't disturb the bees, the bees wouldn't hurt them.

Fun fact:
The flowers are called mustard greens and are used to make mustard!

I just adore how you do their hair, I would love to know how to do that. And I completely love the last picture :)

You create such a lovely summer atmosphere, it makes me want to make flowergarlands and wear them in my hair. Beautiful!

the last photo is my favorite just because it holds a special place in my heart's memories because I would wear a baby blue leotard EVERYWHERE (even to the grocery store!)and it reminds me of me and my sis :)

lovely! can you post a tutorial on how to do crown braids?!

The Drifter and the Gypsy on February 17, 2010 12:19 PM said...

@Anonymous: The girls' mother actually did the hair. I myself do not know how to do it, but I can ask her how she did it and post a tutorial.

Gorgeous!
My favorite is the second one, because of her lovely, angelic face and that it's a little secret what she's holding in her hands...

You have to express more your opinion to attract more readers, because just a video or plain text without any personal approach is not that valuable. But it is just form my point of view

The Drifter and the Gypsy on February 17, 2010 3:37 PM said...

@Anonymous 3:04: I see what you're saying, but the reason I don't express my opinion is that I don't want to influence other peoples'. Like if I say what my favorite picture is, I don't want people to try to be nice and say that's their favorites too. I want peoples' honest, unswayed opinions if that makes sense!

I'm loving this hairstyle! Trying to work out how its been conjured up. Would love to try it out on myself, but I fear I might need to wait for my hair to grow a bit!

Lovely photos, all of them...but my very favorite is the last one...I like the softness of it and the way the sun is shining through the girls clothes a little. very nice.

Micaela these are quite simply stunning!
I know you worry about your technical expertise with photography but I don't look for that I look for what speaks to my heart.....and your photos certainly do that!
Maybe it's because I have a soft spot for meadows but I love this series even more than your 'picnic' ones.
Will you put any in the shop?
Keep taking photos my lovely
kat xx

out of curiousity, who are these 2 gorgeous girls, are they your sisters? they're so cute! and what camera are you using?

The Drifter and the Gypsy on February 20, 2010 7:56 AM said...

@See Hear Say: No, they are the daughters of my friend. Yes, they are very cute-my best models!
I'm using a Sony Alpha 200 DSLR.
