Sleeping in or Rising Early

Wednesday, August 11, 2010
I can never decide which is more ideal,
sleeping in & slowly waking with a cup of tea and a book
or waking up at dawn and doing artsy things while watching the sunrise through the windows.
What do you think?

Both sound absolutely idyllic, especially during the lazy summer days.

Oh yes, I so hear you.

Saturdays...I love to get up early, before the rest of my neighbors...lay in with a cup of tea, watch the mist rising out my bedroom window. Reminds me of my youth.

Lovely photos and post as always x

Beautiful images, in a way I like the waking up early and doing artsy things before the sun goes up.
I guess...
beautiful images.

I honestly like waking up in the early morning and watching the sun rise. I am not much for sleeping in, and I always feel so hot and blah when I sleep in.

stunning imagery as usual my dear.

i adore sleeping in...but i always end up grumpy when i do! when i wake up early though i never have time to do the things i want to do because i'm always rushing off someplace. what i DO love, though. is doing artsy things with a cup of tea or coffee as the sun is setting. =]

Depends on the day.
I love waking up before sunrise to drive somewhere and take photos. I am in love with the morning light.
But I also love sleeping in a bit later, waking up and sitting enjoying coffee as I listen to birds outside.

Ohhh, I like both! Lately I have really enjoyed getting up at 6am on Saturdays and going straight to the farmers market when they first open to pick out my fruits, veggies and cheeses. I munch on some berries and a croissant while I meander through the market and then crawl back in bed around 7:30 for a few hours so when I re-awaken I can leisurely make my coffee and read a book or something.
I tend to enjoy waking up earlier in the summer months and getting things accomplished before the heat of the day zaps all my energy, but nothing can be better than snuggling in on a chilly morning.

I think both are wonderful and bring a lovely feeling. You can wake up early or sleep a little bit more, waking up relaxed and spending the morning recieving the day with a cup of tea or coffee, a good book, good company...

I've rarely ever seen the sun rise unless I'm still awake, so I'm going to go with falling asleep after watching the sunrise, sleeping in and waking up with a good book and strong cuppa coffee.
