A few days ago I went to the farmer's market in a nearby suburb. I wasn't there all day, as I'd like to have been, and I didn't buy a whole lot, as I'd like to have done, but I did buy some tiny asparagus, some little cakes (to eat with ice cream and the blueberries I picked last week), and six ears of corn. Is there anything lovelier or more summery than eating corn on the cob outside at sunset?
Anyway, I took a lot of photos, but I don't like any of them (annoying how things always happen like that), so here are a lot of pictures dedicated to the loveliest of times, late summer!

Oh wow, those all look yummy!
I love the first picture and used it on my blog a while ago, too. But I couldn't find the original source, just tumblr. Thanks for sharing again and now I can finally credit the talented photographer. :)
i would say late summer could be lovelier, IF IT WASN'T FOR ALL THE RAIN.
(at least in most of northern europe)
i wish there was a farmer's market where i live! there are probably a lot in the outskirts of every city, but i can't be arsed to take the train back and forth as i have no car yet :( boo!
I love fresh food so much.
Yum, yum....if only your pictures were edible....especially all the apples dropped under the tree. That one reminded me of 'Hurricane Ivan' (in jamaica 5 or so years ago)...when we came outside afterwards, every fruit tree...mangoe, avocado, the lot, lay on the ground like this...we ate as much as we could! Lovely post & pics as usual :)
mmm can't wait to hit up the local market!! thanks for sharing these dreamy photos!
i love farm stands...though I'm guilty of buying more things than I can possibly use...just because it's all so fresh and lovely!
hope you enjoyed your little cakes w ice cream and blueberries...
What a lovely post! Gorgeous :)
Your blog post really relates to what my mom has been doing all summer... picking berries and making jelly for the Fall and Winter!!!
yuuuum. markets are the best. in cleveland there is a weekly market in an old train station that i am in love with going to. can't wait to back to it... in 4 days!
