Revolutionary Road
This quite possibly is my favorite movie trailer in the world. Every time I watch it I have goosebumps. And this is one of my favorite quotes too :) I love going to the movie theater and watching the trailers, feeling my heart get swept away with each story, the music, the words.

But what makes this movie most special is it was filmed where I used to live. They started filming the summer we moved, so I didn't get to see any of it. But even if we were still there, I think the film crew kept the general public a safe distance away from all the celebrity and important peeps.

But back to movie trailers, I do think that they are a form of art-putting together various scenes from a movie and yet they are all cohesive and work together to convey the storyline of the movie.

Revolutionary Road is a beautiful movie, so sad yet it shows the pain of real life.

LOVE your blog, by the way.

Wonderful movie (it used to make me cry the first time I saw it!)...
Have you seen Sam Mendes last movie: Away we go? Just so good.
And love the song by Nina Simone on the trailer...!

I love this film, kind of uncomfortable to watch in places which just goes to show how spot on it is.

The book is astonishing: incredibly raw and unforgiving - well worth reading. Although, probably not just before you get married. Loved the trailer - must get myself sorted and watch the film!

i agree! i hate getting to the movie theater late simply because i love seeing the trailers for the new movies. and i also agree that they are a form of art, and sometimes, unfortunately, the trailers are better than the actual movie.

I love movie trailers. I think my favorite has to be The Shining. It's so simple yet it is so effective.

A lot of movies today show pretty much the entire movie in the trailer. I just had that problem last night with The Lovely Bones. Don't ruin it for me!

-now I want to watch Revolutionary Road again.

@Floddertje: No, I haven't seen that other movie. Thanks for the suggestion though!

this is one of my favorite films as well and i think they both defy and go beyond just 'acting.'

it was raw and real ... just like life.

p.s. don't even get me started on how i believe leo should have been honored with a nomination for his work in this film ...

This is one of my favourite movies, the book (by Richard Yates) is really good too. Just like the film, too.

Definitely agree with one of the above comments, both lead characters are wonderful and definitely go above and beyond regular acting!

And I love movie trailers, especially this one.

Filmmaking is a beautiful craft and you're right there is also an art to every scene and every cut. This film is particularly beautiful.
