masks.

Friday, March 20, 2009
I have worn so many masks in my life that quite often,

I find myself forgetting who I really am.

Sometimes I feel life is a game and I play with myself and others.

More than anything, I long to collect all the pieces of my life

and put the puzzle back together again,

but I know it's impossible and

would make my life boring.

I possess a spectrum of personalities because my life has been

interrupted so many times that my experiences are never linear.
kind of white #1 by Ta .
They are diverse and disconnected, and, well,
light #17 by Ta .
sometimes it makes me sad.

I have a mask for every occasion.

Rarely do I remove it and relax my face.

My words

Today is the first day of spring!!!!

Here is a poem by Angela (who no doubt is one of my biggest inspirations)
I just thought it was so fitting for today and describes my mood perfectly.

I am ready for spring,

I am ready for tiny light dresses made out of chiffon.

I am ready for jean shorts and daisy chains in my hair.

I am ready to sit outside with bare feet with my friends.
I am ready for hot days and warm nights and sleeping with only the sheets on the bed.

I am ready for sunglasses and freckled noses.
I am ready for bare legs and swimsuit tops.
I am ready for sunshine and warm breeze.
I am ready for laying in tall grass and looking at the stars.

I am ready for midnight swims and gin and tonics at 3am.

I am ready for music and dust and camp outs.

I am ready for summer.

My current spring love affairs are with:

mary kate olsen by K.F.L..

these white rimmed Ray Ban wayfarers seen on MK Olsen.

and

this dress from modcloth.com

That dress looks very snow white. It's ok to be internet paranoid, i should be more paranoid i think. I always think the best of everybody, which isn't always that good... I just wanted to know if you study something interesting and so on, but what the hey, you're fantastic and that's all that matters! :)

Your words are so beautiful! The idea of experiences not being linear really spoke to me. I was disappointed that there weren't any pictures with masks, but I suppose that would be a little too literal :)

ah those are really your words? they're just lovely and i can see myself in them...
and i love the dress, it's indeed very snow whitish, as matilda said. As for my spring wishes, i'm lusting for a lovely flowery see by chloe dress but i'm on a tight budget so I'm only dreaming of wearing it.. haha!

(Like always, sigh) I can relate to every word. That is what I love about this blogging world--that you can discover so many kindred spirits, it is such a wonderful feeling.
I am also ready for summer to come, all of those pictures and descriptions made me completely nostalgic for those warm sunny, carefree days...

Alright dear, I hope you are well, I have many spring wishes but I won't make this comment longer than it always is!
Au revoir,

I loved that poem by Angela. It says everything that spring and summer is all about - and makes me long for it even more. You've chosen the pictures to go with it so well, too.

As for my spring wishes, well, I am hoping to come back to spring and not still winter when I go back to northern Norway... and other than that, I hope to acquire a few pretty playsuits.

Have a good start of the week, Michaela

Wow, as I was reading the masks lines, I thought that it was an amazing quote that must come from some amazing writer, and that it would become one of my favorite quotes. But now that I find that it was written by you, it makes it so much more real, I really loved it. And your description of summer sounds perfect. I wish for new dresses and someone special to share summer with.
