Golden light part II
Golden light part II
Golden light part II
Remember my photos from this post? Well, these are more shots from the same photo shoot.

The last one has had no editing whatsoever. I started to edit it, then realized that it looked better before I put it into Photoshop. But then I feel kind of bad... that the picture's inferior in some sort of way because it hasn't been prettified (can you believe that's a real word?!). Like it's missing something the other photos aren't. But maybe it's a good thing if your photo is good enough to not need Photoshop? Anyway, do you ever feel that way about editing?

ALSO: I am looking for new models to do photo shoots with! So if you live in the San Francisco area or are planning to visit sometime soon and think you are the right look for my style of photography, please email me with a headshot & full length shot of yourself! Or else if you know of someone or have a friend that would be perfect, please email me too!

Anyway, tell me what your favorite(s) are! My favorite is the first one, then sometimes it's the last one, but mainly the first one.

I think it's more a matter of artistic taste, as far as editing goes. Any "good" photo shouldn't technically need any editing! It's more a matter of - do you want to enhance or modify its look or stylize it in some way. You know? I think the photos you took are beautiful - and even the unedited one has great feeling. :)

It's all personal preference, but I usually think photos look better when they aren't retouched and are still raw. I love using lighting as a "prettifier". Great shots!

I like the last one best too! But I think it might be due to her expression more than anything else :)

I think it is actually a good thing when pictures are good enough raw, without any editing. It is kind of a magic moment, when everything fits perfectly together to make a nice photo.

These photos are really beautiful. I would have to say my favorite is the second one. My friends and I started a t-shirt company. We recently had a photoshoot, we didn't edit any of the photos but they still came out pretty good. Check them out: asquaredplusm.blogspot.com

Awesome for you to not need to use Pohotshop! that's great.

Darn, I used to live nearby you, but I moved to Oregon recently :( Do you have a Model Mayhem page?

these are great! you should be happy about having your photos look gorgeous without having you to photoshop it! for me it's so hard to get the right lighting and colour without photoshop edit, so when i do get good photos that i don't need to edit i'd be really really happy. and i thought, that's what you use SLR for, because you can control what you want from the camera without having to edit it.
